Hiker - FATALITY; INC#0677; 12:10PM; 3077 Rustic Canyon Rd; https://bit.ly/3lSEMV1; Pacific Palisades; At 11:39AM, the LAFD responded to Will Rogers Park for a hiker rescue. LAFD Air Ops located the patient and lowered two rescuers down. They conducted a patient assessment and determined death for an approximately 35yo male patient. The incident is being transitioned to LAPD and LA County Coroner. Any further questions are referred to those agencies. KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1075; 06:55PM; 6881 N Troost Av; https://bit.ly/3PJi5AF; North Hollywood; KNOCKDOWN: Over 80 firefighters extinguished the fire in one hour and 46 minutes with no injuries reported. The crews worked aggressively to contain the fire to the building of origin, defended the adjacent buildings barely separated by a few feet. LAFD Arson is on scene for the investigation per protocol for a Greater Alarm fire. Crews will remain on scene through the night chasing down any remaining hot spots and keeping a fire watch. All firefighters are safe and accounted for and the incident will transition to the defensive mode.
