KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0701; 11:17AM; 2229 W Venice Bl; https://bit.ly/3gtrxI1; Harvard Heights; KNOCKDOWN: 42 firefighters extinguished the fire in 17 minutes with no injuries reported. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy fire through the roof of the vacant commercial building and a single family dwelling to the rear was exposed. Crews immediately began forcible entry, cutting through steel bars and opening doors to gain access to the blaze within. Simultaneously, firefighters at the rear of the building defended the exposed building from damage, creating a wall of water between the flames and the structure. Once firefighters made access inside the fire structure, they used large diameter hand lines to quickly extinguish the fire. The primary search of the building located no occupants.
