What Is The Process?
- Advanced planning is required.
- Contact the Disaster Preparedness Unit via the information provided below.
- Classes and events are scheduled on an equitable basis by City Council District, and prioritized by initial contact date.
Are There Key Points To Remember?
- Preparedness training classes and services are offered free of charge within the jurisdiction served by the Los Angeles Fire Department.
- Presentations can often be arranged or modified to meet special needs.
- These offerings are very popular. To assure a specific time, date and location, please provide as much advance notice as possible.
- To host a class or event, you need only provide a suitable location and an audience.
- The site you choose must be open to all citizens who wish to attend.
- For classes, we welcome you to consider
neighborhood public schools, public auditoriums, community buildings, houses of worship or any other facility that will accommodate the anticipated participants in a classroom setting.
- The minimum class size requirement varies by program.
