LAFD Link Submission Policy

You were directed to this page because of your interest in seeing a specific link added to the Los Angeles Fire Department website.

Each week, we receive dozens of polite requests from those seeking a direct link to their agency or organization home page from one of our pages. If you have already submitted such a message via our comments page, you need take no further action. Your submission will be reviewed and given full consideration by our webmaster.

While we are reviewing your request, we would encourage you to enhance your agency or organization's presence on the internet by registering your site with a search engine or website promotion service.

Though we always welcome suggestions, we must readily admit that we are not able to create, monitor and maintain all of the many links that are submitted. Our failure to add a suggested link does not speak badly of the submission, rather it reflects the editorial limitations of our website and a need to retain a particular focus. In general, we do not link to commercial or retail enterprises.

For example, our link page is designed primarily to showcase prominent Fire Service related:

  • agencies from our region
  • organizations from our State and Nation
Submissions that fit these categories are most likely to be added to our link page.

Since we haven't the ability to maintain a comprehensive worldwide registry, we are pleased to offer LAFD link page visitors direct access to search engines that can point them to content of personal interest. Therefore, we can not overstate the importance of registering with such services.

Again, if you have already suggested a link for the LAFD website via our comments page, you need take no further action. Our webmaster reviews link requests on a monthly basis, and adds chosen content as his schedule permits.

If your proposed link fits the above criteria and you have yet to do so, please...

Visit our comments page and submit a link suggestion.
