Research Interests
My research interests are related to the exploration and development of 3-D computer-graphics approaches and methodologies to enable or improve immersive visual and haptic analysis of biomedical data.
Current research projects in biomedical visualization are focused on algorithms for biomedical imaging, on virtual surgery simulation and on methods to analyze complex, multi-variant databases in genomics and epidemiology.
Much of the collaborative work in my group benefits from access to the Visualization Studio located at the Bioinformatics Center of the Delaware Biotechnology Institute.
Current Projects:
IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (INBRE)
NSF–EPSCoR Research Infrastructure Improvement (RII) Program
