Agilent 8703B Lightwave Component Analyzer

Agilent 8703B Lightwave Component Analyzer

Agilent 8703B Lightwave Component Analyzer

The Agilent 8703B Lightwave Component Analyzer is a vector network analyzer fully integrated with calibrated electro-optic transmitter and receivers to allow full complex 2-port measurement of a full range of electro-optic devices. The transmitter/receiver assemblies can be combined as necessary to allow optical transmitter/modulator testing, optical receiver testing, high-resolution optical domain testing, and electrical device testing. It features:

  • Full 2-port S-parameter measurements from 45 MHz to 20 GHz for:
    • Electrical-to-electrical devices (RF devices)
    • Electrical-to-optical devices (laser transmitters, external modulators)
    • Optical-to-electrical devices (photodetectors, photoreceivers)
    • Optical-to-optical devices (Optical filters/ passives)
  • Frequency resolution to 1 Hz.
  • Internal 1550 nm PM optical source.
  • Optical receiver sensitivity from 1.0- 1.7 µm wavelengths.
  • GPIB control for external measurement automation.
