Explosion; INC#0590; 10:59AM; 7851 N Alabama Av; http://bit.ly/2JuKTyC; Canoga Park; Firefighters responded to a one-story commercial building with an explosion in one unit. Firefighters find damage, but no active fire. Hose lines are being deployed as a precaution. No entry is being made at this time due to possible compromise to structural integrity. Building and Safety has been notified. There are two civilian patients with unknown injuries that are being given medical attention. Structure Fire KNOCKDOWN; INC#1098; 03:50PM; 7722 N Faust Av; http://bit.ly/2OiMNBi; West Hills; 20 firefighters took just 10 minutes to extinguish a fire in a detached garage. A quick and aggressive fire attack prevented the fire from spreading to the home. Lost Child 03/19/2019 INC#0437

Lost Child; INC#0437; 08:50AM; 6406 S Main St; http://bit.ly/2Fn6xka; Florence; This morning, the members of Fire Station 33 in South Los Angeles came upon a 3-year-old male child running in the street with no supervision. Truck 33 blocked traffic while firefighters removed the child from danger. LAFD provided a safe house for the child at Station 33, while attempting to identify the child's parents. In coordination with LAPD, the child's worried father was located and came to the station to be reunited with his son. The father had stepped out briefly to drive the child's mother to work. Older siblings were supervising the boy at home, but did not notice him slip out of the house. Due to the quick action taken by firefighters, no harm came to the child and he was reconnected with his family. The patient is unsecured and possibly intending to harm himself. The crane is approximately 75-80 feet high. LAFD helicopter is responding. LAFD to assist LAPD in making contact with patient. Firefighters made entry to find smoke and a deceased person inside the home in a room with fire damage, but no active flames. Age/gender of victim undetermined at this time. River Rescue 03/18/2019 INC#0037

River Rescue; INC#0037; 12:33AM; 35 Pacoima Wash; http://bit.ly/2F8U1nc; Pacoima; A 21-year old male and an 18-year-old female were rescued from fast-moving water in Pacoima. The couple entered the Pacoima wash near Foothill Blvd and were swept miles down river at approximately 20 mph. One patient called 9-1-1 from in the water and spoke with dispatchers while moving down river. Both patients grasped onto the wall right before passing underneath Telfair Ave and were stationary when units arrived. LAFD quickly deployed their aerial ladder with a firefighter dangling from a harness off of the end of the ladder. Both patients were extricated from the river within 15 minutes of resources getting to the scene. Both patients were treated and transported to a local hospital with no significant injuries.
