Investigation, Arson; INC#0581; 12:05PM; 1200 W Anaheim St; https://bit.ly/2Sjrt4W; Harbor City; A few grass and/or rubbish fires were extinguished by LAFD firefighters this morning in span of approximately an hour (beginning with incident #510 at 11:14am) at or near the Ken Malloy Harbor Regional Park. Fire Investigators from LAFD's Arson Counter Terrorism Section were dispatched to the scene and, with assistance from the Park Rangers, a suspect was apprehended less than an hour after the first fire. During questioning, the adult male (who is a person experiencing homelessness) admitted to starting three fires, and has now been arrested and booked for arson.
