Update CONTAINED Brush Fire; INC#1064; 05:52PM; 714 W Lookout Dr; https://bit.ly/31RKNbI; Elysian Park; 73 LAFD firefighters, with the help of two volunteer hand crews (LAFD Crew 3) and two CERT units (Community Emergency Response Team volunteers), skillfully made a stand and stopped the fire before it could threaten nearby homes. Firefighters safely navigated power lines that were downed due to the fire. No evacuations were necessary. Firefighters now have hose lines and hand lines (green vegetation separation from burn outline) around the perimeter of the burn. Crews will remain on scene to put out hot spots within the burn footprint. No reported injuries.
