Firefighters located an approximately 30yo F with non-life threatening injuries stuck in a location (in the brush on a steep hillside with no footing) in which a hoist operation is the preferred approach. However, due to the minimal visibility cause by fog, an alternate plan is being developed. Firefighters are on the hillside with the patient. Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0274; 08:08AM; 861 N Alma Real Dr; https://bit.ly/3lrwEc8; Pacific Palisades; 28 LAFD firefighters performed a coordinated fire attack, with vertical ventilation and salvage operations, to extinguish a stubborn fire (that appeared to have started in the attic) inside of a public library in 58 minutes. Firefighters saved nearly all of the books inside, while extinguishing the flames and stopping the water flow from automatic fire sprinklers. No reported injuries.
