This incident has been elevated to "Greater Alarm" status. Firefighters are taking a defensive posture (applying water from the exterior only) and keeping a buffer to account for potential collapse zones. KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1357; 06:34PM; 10020 N El Dorado Av; https://bit.ly/3z6P9sZ; Pacoima; The fire was located adjacent to LAPD Foothill station. Officers were the first on scene, responding on foot from their station across the street, to ensure occupants safely evacuated. Twenty-six LAFD firefighters arrived to extinguish the flames of a one-room fire inside of the one-story single-family dwelling in 14 minutes. Firefighters saved three pets from the home (a reptile, a canine, and a feline). Paramedics administered oxygen to the feline, and all three now appear to be well. No reported injuries.
