Update Final Smoke Investigation; INC#1262; 10:38PM; 41 Beverly Park Ci; https://bit.ly/35nyGEJ; Beverly Crest; The reported structure fire proved only to be a fitting request for smoke investigation, with no active fire discovered. Firefighters thoroughly searched the 28,887 square-foot 4-story premises (3 floors above ground) with thermal imaging cameras to confirm there were no concealed flames related to the smoke they noted on the second floor upon their arrival. The source of that smoke was determined to be one of several furnaces in the home that was recently serviced, and has now been taken safely off-line. There were no injuries, and all occupants have been allowed to return inside the residence. Firefighters continue to search the walls of the 28,887 square-foot 4-story premises (3 floors above ground) with thermal imaging cameras for source of smoke on 2nd floor. No flames have been discovered. The investigation is largely focused on one of several furnaces in the home that may have been recently serviced. Update Fire; INC#0864; 03:21PM; 11121 W Pendleton St; https://bit.ly/3kl01LZ; Shadow Hills; The deep seated debris fire inside the large recycling facility structure was held in check by a fire sprinkler system prior to LAFD arrival. It continues to smolder within the very large pile, as skilled facility staff work with their heavy equipment to assist firefighters in gaining access to the burning material. There is no structural involvement, and there have been no injuries. No escalating or off-site hazard has been identified. Ten LAFD personnel will remain on site this afternoon to assure complete extinguishment. Structure Fire; INC#1568; 12:23PM; 7252 N Irondale Av; https://bit.ly/38vrxnZ; Winnetka; FIRE NOW OUT: At 11:42PM (11.10.20) firefighters responded to a reported structure fire and found a one story, single family dwelling with smoke showing. At 11:59 a knockdown was declared with no injuries reported. As firefighters were making their way through the building they located barrels (unknown quantity and size at this time) of an unidentified substance. LAFD HazMat Squad requested and is responding to determine if the barrels are a hazard.
