Jumper; INC#0850; 02:38PM; Nb 101 Fy; https://bit.ly/2ENnwih; Downtown; LAFD responded to reports of a person threatening to jump from freeway overpass. While firefighters were enroute, the person jumped. Sadly, the 35yo male was beyond medical help and determined dead on scene. The LA County Coroner office will handle cause and identification. KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1079; 06:16PM; 2508 S 9th Av; https://bit.ly/36bEySx; Jefferson Park; 94 LAFD Firefighters used a strategic combination of offensive and defensive operations to aggressively confine flames within the 3,324 square-foot two-story home, built 1911, with a (2 story?) residential addition, extinguishing the stubborn fire in just 69 minutes. One elder female resident was determined dead shortly after being transported by LAFD Paramedics to an area hospital. One firefighter is now being examined at scene for issues related to exertion.
