Structure Fire; INC#1157; 05:44PM; 728 S Manhattan Pl; https://bit.ly/31LFESA; Koreatown; LAFD found an outside fire that had spread into a vacant (boarded up) two-story home. 30 firefighters quickly extinguished the structure and the outside fires in 11 minutes (5:55 PM). Update Brush Fire CONTAINED 07/04/2020 INC#1064

Update CONTAINED Brush Fire; INC#1064; 05:52PM; 714 W Lookout Dr; https://bit.ly/31RKNbI; Elysian Park; 73 LAFD firefighters, with the help of two volunteer hand crews (LAFD Crew 3) and two CERT units (Community Emergency Response Team volunteers), skillfully made a stand and stopped the fire before it could threaten nearby homes. Firefighters safely navigated power lines that were downed due to the fire. No evacuations were necessary. Firefighters now have hose lines and hand lines (green vegetation separation from burn outline) around the perimeter of the burn. Crews will remain on scene to put out hot spots within the burn footprint. No reported injuries. Brush Fire; INC#1126; 05:28PM; 500 N Buena Vista Dr; https://bit.ly/2zTt2N3; Elysian Park; A second brush fire started in Elysian park a few miles away. LAFD Air Ops was able to quickly make several water drops on the small fire before ground crews arrived on scene and extinguish the fire. Ground crews will stay on scene to conduct "mop up" operations, to cool hot spots and smoldering material in the burn footprint. No reported injuries. Structure Fire; INC#0591; 10:57AM; 5078 W Pico Blvd; internal:/; Mid-City; A one-story row of commercials was filled with smoke due to a detached shed on fire in the rear. Companies quickly extinguished the shed fire and conducted an extensive search of the commercial occupancies for any fire spread, but found none. It took 34 firefighters 19 minutes. Firefighters engaged in an offensive interior fire attack with vertical ventilation to extinguish a fire contained mostly within the walls in 15 minutes. No reported injuries. Update CONTAINED Brush Fire; INC#0065; 12:58AM; 11900 N Browns Canyon Rd; https://bit.ly/38px8tK; Chatsworth; A joint effort by LAFD, LACoFD, and VCFD held the brush fire to approximately two to three acres. A direct air attack combined with containment lines developed by ground crews earned firefighters extinguishment in 43 minutes. No structures threatened. No injuries.
