They will remain on scene for an extended duration to conduct a de-watering operation for a structure impacted by the water (type unknown). Firefighters put dams in place to try to direct the water, however, the flow is too high for them to control. LAFD remains on scene awaiting LADWP arrival. Despite bystander CPR and quick LAFD Firefighter/Paramedic action, the child was beyond medical help. All questions regarding the circumstances of the incident = LAPD Newton Division Inc#0958. There were five dogs inside the structure. One is deceased and one is being transported by the owner to the vet for evaluation for smoke inhalation.
