On October 30, 2014, the Los Angeles Fire Department and Councilmember Tom LaBonge from the 4th Council District provided residents critical life safety information, regarding the importance of smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors.

This year the city has suffered 20 structure fire related fatalities, 14 of which did not have working smoke alarms. This is an opportunity to make your home safer, while remembering to change your clock.
