Update Physical Rescue; INC#1342; 07:30PM; 4738 W Venice Bl; https://bit.ly/3wuTFFZ; #MidCity; Firefighters extricated one person from a two-vehicle collision, using hydraulic rescue tools. There were a total of 6 patients, and 5 were treated and transported to area hospitals by LAFD. The following are the age/gender/condition of the transported patients: 51F and 62F - critical, 51M - serious, 40F and 13F - moderate. One 46M declined transport, with only minor injuries. Additional circumstances unknown. All six people who were rescued off the sinking vessel, and brought to shore by LA County Lifeguards, are in good condition and none required hospital transport. LAFD will assist them back to their vehicles. Seven people were assessed by firefighters and paramedics on scene. One 17-year-old female refused transport. The other six patients were transported to area hospitals in good-to-fair condition, all with minor injuries. The ages and genders of those transported are: 18-month-old male, 34F, 25M, 12M, 14F, and 17F. CONTAINED Brush Fire; INC#1074; 04:51PM; 6100 N Woodley Av; https://bit.ly/3JmOXNT; #SepulvedaBasin; Firefighters responded to the archery range, where a two-acre brush fire burned nearby, stoked by sustained winds. Employees and patrons of the archery range were evacuated temporarily while firefighters went to work to contain the flames. Ultimately, it took 41 firefighters an hour and 19 minutes to contain the vegetation fire to approximately two acres, which consumed grass, brush, and trees. Evacuation has been lifted. No reported injuries.
