KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0853; 01:44PM; 13640 N Norris Av; https://bit.ly/3JDtGwW; Sylmar; A one-story 1,615 sq-ft home built in 1971 caught fire, which appeared to have started in a nearby carport, spreading to the adjacent home and nearby ornamental vegetation, encouraged by windy conditions. Firefighters ensured all occupants escaped and received a medical assessment. Thankfully, no injuries or medical complaints were found. It took the first 38 firefighters 33 minutes to extinguish all flames in the home, carport, vegetation, and autos involved.
