Firefighters found smoke coming from the attic and quickly knocked down the fire contained within the attic. Measures were taken to protect homeowner property in the home below the attic fire fight. Leak Stopped - Natural Gas Leak; INC#1032; 05:00PM; 17337 W Tramonto Dr; http://bit.ly/2QemTTU; Pacific Palisades; @SoCalGas crews took a little more than 90 minutes to safely and successfully stop the natural gas leak from the ~ 3" subterranean pipe that was apparently ruptured by an unspecified construction crew. No fire. No illness. No injury. The estimated 100+ persons who largely self-evacuated from the nearby large condominium building, are now able to return to their homes. Update Natural Gas Leak; INC#1032; 04:30PM; 17337 W Tramonto Dr; http://bit.ly/2QemTTU; Pacific Palisades; SoCalGas has fully exposed the 3" pipeline and hopes to have the leak stopped shortly after en route specialty tools arrive (by 5 PM?). No fire. No illness. No injury. Out of an abundance of caution, LAFD was prepared to move an estimated 100+ persons from the nearby large *condominium* building, though the HOA states all persons have already calmly and safely departed the building. Any persons LAFD finds on the premises will now be guided to a recreation room on the far west side of the large complex to await leak stoppage. The nearby upwind school where an unknown number of occupants are being safely sheltered in place alongside firefighters, is known as "Chabad of Pacific Palisades". No fire. No illness. No injury. LAFD is working with So Cal Gas officials now on site. Their medical conditions were not specified. The adult male driver of the compact silver (sedan?) was uninjured and remains on scene. No further details. Update Cliff Rescue; INC#1453; 10:05PM; 13720 W Mulholland Dr; http://bit.ly/2QavXck; Beverly Crest; The only patient is a 50 year-old male with chest trauma after his vehicle left Mulholland Drive and overturned as it tumbled down a steep hillside, coming to rest against a tree. He has been safely hoisted aboard a hovering LAFD rescue helicopter in undetermined condition to receive in-flight care during direct helicopter transport to nearby trauma center.
