KNOCKDOWN Brush Fire; INC#1180; 04:56PM; 9505 W Hidden Valley Rd; https://bit.ly/3k9xwDC; Beverly Crest; KNOCKDOWN: Firefighters contained and extinguished the fire in 48 minutes, holding it to 1/4 acre. No residences were damaged. Firefighters will remain on scene to conduct for about 2 hours to conducted mop up operations and ensure no hot spots remain. Beverley Hills Fire (BHFD) Engine 2 and BC1 are also on scene. There are no injuries reported. The downed powerlines remain an electrical hazard and LA Dept of Water and Power will handle and are the agency for any questions regarding power restoration (it is unknown how many may be affected at this time). Update Brush Fire; INC#1180; 04:35PM; 9505 W Hidden Valley Rd; https://bit.ly/3k9xwDC; Beverly Crest; Due to the downed, active powerlines limiting access, firefighters are having to find alternate routes to access the fire. 10 additional fire engines are responding to assist. This is a small fire (less than 1/8 acre) and is not a wind driven fire. There are no evacuations in place and no immediate threat to any residences. The primary concern is safely accesses the fire due to electrical hazard and prevent the fire from extending into the large (eucalyptus trees) LAFD Air Ops is on scene and has conducted a drop at the head of the fire. KNOCKDOWN Rubbish Fire; INC#0429; 08:51AM; Wb Santa Monica Fy; https://bit.ly/3LeU0Pj; Downtown; KNOCKDOWN: 83 firefighters extinguished the fire in one hour and 19 minutes with no injuries reported. The large amount of pallets stored under the freeway created a challenge in reaching the seat of the fire. Forklifts on scene were used to move the extinguished pallets so firefighters could continue to make their way in and fully extinguished the fire. CHP will handle the re-opening of the freeway, drivers are advised to check https://cad.chp.ca.gov/Traffic.aspx for updates. LAFD Arson is responding for a *possible* witness to the fire cause.
