Though the vehicle and one involved unit in a row of bungalow-style homes were significantly damaged, there are no other injuries. Knockdown - Structure Fire; INC#0932; 01:52PM; 233 W 98th St; https://bit.ly/3f4CKh7; #BroadwayManchester; 33 firefighters took just 31 minutes to forcibly enter, overcome physical obstacles within, thoroughly search, confine and fully extinguish flames in an 874 square-foot one-story home (built 1913) that contained excessive personal storage. During initial fire attack, LAFD Firefighters discovered and rescued one elder adult male resident from the smoke charged structure. He has been taken to an area hospital by LAFD Paramedics in critical condition. No other injury reported. Update Natural Gas Leak; INC#0434; 09:28AM; 1922 N Hillhurst Av; https://bit.ly/3pZ5Ftz; #LosFeliz; So Cal Gas utility workers have secured the 1" (one inch) diameter subterranean line and stopped the flow of natural gas leaking from beneath a sidewalk at or near a construction site. No fire. No injury. The small scale evacuation (unknown number of persons) and street closure in the immediate area have been discontinued.
