Complete - River Rescue; INC#0520; 07:10AM; 11201 N Big Tujunga Canyon Rd; https://bit.ly/3Zn0DWm; #Sunland; During a morning of extreme winter weather with cold, heavy rain and strong winds, a 61 year-old adult male was hoisted aboard a hovering LAFD rescue helicopter, and safely brought to nearby land, where he is now being medically treated by LAFD Paramedics for the affects of hypothermia. Determined to be the only victim, he will soon be transported by LAFD ambulance to an area hospital. The man (undetermined if homeless) states he was driving his van within the vast natural expanse of the Tujunga Wash at about midnight, when the vehicle (LAFD has not seen) was struck and disabled by a falling tree.
