The Central Bureau encompasses Downtown Los Angeles and the surrounding communities. Deputy Chief Phillip T. Fligiel is the Central Bureau Commander, and manages the day-to-day operations of 22 fire stations and 645 personnel in Battalions 1, 2, and 11.

LINCOLN HEIGHTS - On October 9, 2018, the Los Angeles Fire Department was notified at 8:41 PM of a structure fire at 2532 North Daly Street in Lincoln Heights.  Firefighters arrived to find flames inside one unit on the second floor of a three-story center hallway apartment building.
