Update Hazardous Materials Investigation; INC#1379; 09:03PM; 1985 E Zonal Av; http://bit.ly/2NEUQXw; Boyle Heights; Three patients total, all graduate students within the John Stauffer Pharmaceutical Sciences Center on the USC Health Campus: (ONE) 24 year-old female sustained eye exposure to a small amount of Propargylamine, a highly toxic chemical. (TWO) 27 year-old male and (THREE) 24 year-old female who were reportedly in the vicinity of patient ONE, but not believed to have been directly exposed to any product. LAFD HazMat experts accessed the scene and worked swiftly with other LAFD responders to carefully decontaminate all three patients, who were transported conscious and alert to a nearby hospital. Their medical conditions were not specified. No escalating or off-site hazards were identified.
