Update Structure Fire; 05:48PM; 8007 W HIGHLAND TL; internal:/; #HollywoodHills; The LAFD Arson Section investigated the fire cause and it is "Undetermined" and remains under active investigation. The estimated dollar loss is $325,000 ($250k structure & 75k contents). The flames were predominately in the attic and extended into some walls. The home also suffered water damage. Update Flooding 01/20/2017

Update Flooding; 02:52PM; 15260 W Burbank Bl; internal:/; Sherman Oaks; Total of 5 persons rescued from homeless encampments in the Sepulveda Basin. Sequence: Two people rescued during Inc#0708 at 12:07PM, Two people rescued during Inc# 0879 at 1:10hrs. During this second incident, LAFD Air Ops Fire 1 conducted an aerial reconnaissance of the basin to determine if there were any additional persons needing assistance. They located a 5th victim and the Swift Water Rescue Team used a boat to reach and safely retrieve the individual. Only one patient (included in the earlier alert) was transported for medical concern not related to the flood. We do not have knowledge of any additional persons currently in the basin. Update Flooding 01/20/2017

Update Flooding; 02:08PM; 15260 W Burbank Bl; internal:/; Sherman Oaks; LAFD firefighters and Swift Water team have now effected the rescue of a total of 4 people from the Sepulveda Basin. The individuals were in an homeless encampment which flooded and required assistance getting to safety. 1 patient was transported with for medical issue not related to the flooding. LAFD Air Ops is enroute to fly a recon route along the basin to determine if any additional persons needing rescue. The Sepulveda Basin is closed. The first 2 rescues were a part of Incident # 708 and the follow up rescues were part of Inc 879. ; FS 88; Batt 10; Valley Bureau; Council District 4; Margaret Stewart
