Due to the terrain, both the patient and the firefighters will need to be hoisted out of the location. The hiker reports no injuries. Update Structure Fire; INC#0191; 05:32AM; 766 N Paseo Miramar; https://bit.ly/3hmH3GL; Pacific Palisades; KNOCKDOWN: 78 firefighters extinguished the fire in one hour and 43 minutes. There remain a few small pockets of fire crews continue to address. This is an exterior, defensive operation due to the hillside location and structural instability with partial collapse. There are no injuries reported. LAFD Urban Search and Rescue and LA Dept of Building and Safety (LADBS anticipated to be on scene by 6:30AM) evaluating the structure for any shoring needs / occupancy determination. Cause and $ loss TBD. Firefighters continue to make good progress but are limited in their ability to reach all pockets of fire due to the instability of the structure and hillside location. Crews have prevented the fire from extending into the adjacent brush. There are no injuries reported. The incident continues as a defensive operation. He is being hoisted aboard a hovering LAFD Rescue Helicopter and transported to safety. UPDATE: Brush Fire - Palisades; INC#1448; 06:00PM; Pacific Palisades; As of 6:00PM today, the #PalisadesFire is 100% contained. Firefighters will remain on-scene patrolling to ensure all hotspots are fully extinguished. Fortunately, due to firefighter's relentless efforts, no homes were damaged or destroyed, no civilians were injured and we were able to detain the arsonist within just 36 hours from the fire's start. Update Brush Fire; INC#1293; 07:00PM; 15820 W Pacific Coast Hw; https://bit.ly/3vDX8gq; Pacific Palisades; CONTAINED: Firefighters have hand lines around the perimeter as helicopters continue to conduct water drops to assist with the efforts. The burn area is approximately 2 acres on a steep hillside. No structures threatened and no injuries reported. Crews will remain on scene for approximately two more hours conducting mop up operations and traffic on PCH will remain affected.
