IMPORTANT NOTICE:
CITY OF L.A. SMOKING PROHIBITIONS

Please be advised that the Los Angeles City Council passed an ordinance to prohibit the use of electronic smoking devices (commonly referred to as “vaping”) in all smoke-free areas in the City of Los Angeles. Electronic smoking devices include items such as e-cigarettes, e-hookahs and vape pens.

 

No smoking symbols for cigarettes, cigars and electronic smoking devices.
 

This ordinance became effective on April 19, 2014. Smoking and vaping are now prohibited in all smoke-free places in the City of Los Angeles, including but not limited to...
 

  • Enclosed workplaces [LAMC 41.50.B.1/CA State Labor Code 6404.5(b)]
  • Within 20 feet of an entryway or operable window of a government building [LAMC 41.50.B.1 / CA State Government Code 7597]
  • Buildings owned or leased by the City of Los Angeles [LAMC 41.50.B.2.a]
  • City-permitted farmers’ markets [LAMC 41.50.B.2.b]
  • Outdoor dining areas [LAMC 41.50.B.2.c]
  • City parks and beaches [LAMC 63.44(B)(24)]
