We warmly welcome you and your family to visit an LAFD Fire Station on Saturday, May 13, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM (unless otherwise noted below).
The second Saturday of each May is designated “Fire Service Day” in the City of Los Angeles, when we plan for your visit to a neighborhood Fire Station, because we are your Los Angeles Fire Department and we place great value on our community relationships. We hope you will come spend part of your day with us and learn about the services we offer, interact with firefighters, increase your fire safety knowledge, and enjoy some FREE family fun.
This year, our theme will be "The Greatest Good for the Greatest Number of People," and specifically highlighting the great good that come from our Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) volunteers.
During our Open Firehouse, we are honored to provide tours of your Neighborhood Fire Station, fire safety and disaster preparedness education, and free smoke alarms for your home (while supplies last). The LAFD will also bestow the title “Honorary Fire Chief” on highly deserving community members recognized for their unwavering support of the LAFD.
All Neighborhood Fire Stations will be open for tours* and the following locations will be presenting their respective Honorary Fire Chiefs and include special demonstrations (for example, Rescue Air Cushion, Auto Extrication, Technical Rescue Demo, Air Ops Flyover, etc.):
