Update Structure Fire; INC#0857; 04:03PM; 8839 N Cedros Av; https://bit.ly/3sUl5xH; Panorama City; KNOCKDOWN: 96 firefighters extinguished the fire in both buildings in one hour and 11 minutes. Crews are continuing to ensure there are no hot spots in the walls and assessing the level of damage to the units in both buildings. There are no injuries reported and needs are being evaluated for occupants who will be displaced (unknown number at this time). LAFD PIOs Captain Erik Scott and Firefighter David Ortiz are expected be on scene in the next 10 minutes to assist the media. Arson investigators are responding to assist in the cause investigation per protocol. LAFD PIO's Captain Erik Scott and Firefighter David Ortiz are enroute to assist the media on scene. This incident is at the Greater Alarm status with 89 firefighters assigned.
