Update Cliff Rescue; INC#1346; 09:30PM; 4119 S Pacific Av; http://bit.ly/2to3qoL; San Pedro; Though witnesses stated there may have been others, LAFD ground crews searched and encountered only one adult female with minor injuries near the vehicle that was on fire about 25' below the top of the seaside cliff. Despite wind, the flames did not extend to vegetation and were quickly extinguished. The woman was taken to an area hospital for further evaluation. Knockdown Structure Fire; INC#0243; 05:05AM; 9901 N Sunland Bl; http://bit.ly/2rEzog5; Shadow Hills; 48 firefighters took just 51 minutes to fully extinguish flames in a 5,776 square-foot one story home that was heavily involved with fire. The adult male and adult female residents escaped with their two pet dogs prior to the fire department's arrival. Though the canines are unharmed, the man and woman suffered smoke inhalation. They were taken by LAFD Paramedics to an area hospital in fair condition. No other injuries were reported. Though no other structures are directly threatened by flames, an LAFD helicopter is providing aerial reconnaissance and command support due to windy conditions.
