Rollover Vehicle - FATALITY; INC#0852; 03:10PM; 11160 N Oro Vista Av; https://bit.ly/35D5dcD; Sunland; Firefighters hiked down a hillside to locate a rollover vehicle and found one patient, determined dead on scene. Crews are now scouring the hillside to determine if there were any other occupants. LAFD Air Ops is responding to assist with the visual search. LAPD responding for the investigation. LAFD will transition to a body recovery once the search for additional patients is concluded. There was an additional vehicle that was not as far down the hillside which was from a previous incident 5 weeks ago and not part of this response. Structure Fire - Fire Now Out; INC#0464; 09:25AM; 2451 W 7th St; https://bit.ly/3od42qJ; Westlake; Firefighters responded to a four story, modern center hall apartment building (senior living) and found smoke showing. After investigating both from the interior and the roof, firefighters located fire within a wall that appeared to have started in a bathroom and move up the pipe allow to the third floor. All floors were clear of smoke and residents were sheltered in place. Crews extinguished the fire (9:52AM) and opened up sections of the wall, as necessary, to ensure no further extension or continued smoldering. No injuries reported. It took 84 LAFD personnel (assisted by jurisdictionally adjacent LACoFD crews in automatic aid) just 38 minutes to strategically access, defensively confine and offensively extinguish heavy fire within what is now described as *two-story* *150' x 100'* warehouse containing baled goods and commercial water delivery products. There have been no injuries. This Greater Alarm fire appears to have begun as an outside fire, which had already extended into and involved the structure on LAFD arrival. Bus Driver says 6 patrons were on bus, but departed the scene after self-evacuating the bus. Five patients total at this time (4 from vehicle and 1 bus operator). Two of the patients from passenger vehicle are in critical condition, the others, including 2 children from the vehicle, and the Bus Driver, have lesser injuries.
