The building type is updated to a one story (with possible mezzanine), concrete tilt-up construction, approximately 100' x 200' in size. Firefighters are in an offensive operation with heavy fire inside. The 29yo male suffered critical burns and was rapidly transported to the hospital in unknown condition (at least critical, possibly grave). CAL OSHA notified due to a work-place injury per protocol. The flames were declared out ("knockdown") 41 minutes after the start (8:29 AM). No reported injuries. Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1459; 10:59PM; 1027 N Heliotrope Dr; https://bit.ly/2Hx9vGY; East Hollywood; CORRECTED ADDRESS; LAFD found a 1,731 sq-ft vacant single-family home built in 1908 fully engulfed in flames. It took 36 firefighters 26 minutes to extinguish the flames, starting with an exterior-only attack to knock back the intense heat, before finishing the job inside. No reported injuries.
