Rescue; INC#1002; 03:58PM; 4058 N Laurel Canyon Bl; http://bit.ly/388u1EL; Studio City; PRELIM: Adult male reportedly jumped an unknown distance off a bridge into the mostly dry concrete-lined vertical walled Los Angeles River flood control channel. He is conscious and alert with unspecified injury. LAFD personnel have descended to his location, and are placing him in a litter basket style stretcher. 'Plan A' is to manually lift him in the stretcher to ground level using a pair of 24-foot ground ladders. Update #KohlerFire Knockdown Major Emergency Structure Fire; INC#0685; 01:10PM; 743 S Kohler St; http://bit.ly/38bK3Om; Downtown; 140 LAFD Firefighters took just 65 minutes to extinguish heavy fire within a 50' x 100' one-story building among a block-long row of commercial businesses. The fire building only sustained serious damage from at least one explosion that occurred prior to LAFD arrival. The well-coordinated LAFD defensive operations prevented either of two adjacent businesses from sustaining fire damage. The involved business name and contents of the burning building have yet to be determined. A total of three adult male civilian patients, whose affiliation with the site has yet to be determined, have been transported to area hospitals. Two are in critical condition with severe burn injuries, the third has unspecified injuries and was transported in fair condition.
