Knockdown Rubbish Fire 11/21/2020 INC#1215

Knockdown Rubbish Fire; INC#1215; 07:36PM; 19350 W Nordhoff St; https://bit.ly/3kQcCXT; Northridge; 38 LAFD Firefighters took just 18 minutes to fully extinguish a large rubbish fire near a homeless encampment between railroad tracks and a flood control channel. No injury. The nearby electronics retail store was not damaged. Any and all Metrolink Ventura County Line and Amtrak Pacific Surfliner rail traffic on that route is prohibited between the Tampa Ave and Corbin Ave grade crossings until LAFD mop-up and equipment retrieval is complete. No injury. No injury. No structure threat or structure damage. Hiker Rescue 11/21/2020 INC#0768

Hiker Rescue; INC#0768; 01:53PM; Santa Susana Mountains; https://bit.ly/370wov1; Granada Hills; LAFD ground and air response to an exhausted elder adult male hiker atop Lookout Loop in O'Melveny Park. As ground crews continued to hike toward his remote location, an LAFD Rescue Helicopter was able to lower a Paramedic to attempt to medically evaluate the patient, who is initially declining all forms of medical aid. The man, currently unable to walk, is being hoisted aboard the hovering LAFD copter, and will be transported to a nearby landing site for further evaluation, and LAFD ground ambulance transport as needed.; FS 18; Batt 15; Valley Bureau; Council District 12; BC15 E18 E287 H4 H5 HA4 HA5 RA18 RA90 RH114 T87; CH8; 12; Brian Humphrey
