The helicopter will transport them to a nearby safe landing zone where the ground firefighters will meet them, assess for any needed assistance and help them research their personal vehicle. The original 9-1-1 call was received at 11:55AM. The fire from the autos partially extended into one unit with limited damage. The remainder of the building was defended from the blaze. There were no injuries reported. Update Structure Fire; INC#0730; 02:23PM; 8740 N Willis Av; https://bit.ly/3aSkbeQ; Panorama City; Well after the fire was extinguished, a man and woman who resided in the burnt apartment made contact with LAFD Paramedics, expressing concerns related to their smoke exposure. They had no other injury. Both adults (affiliation unknown) were subsequently transported to an area hospital by LAFD ambulance in fair condition for clinical evaluation. Firefighters remain at scene overhauling the smoldering debris of the fire. No other injured persons have been identified.
