Update CONTAINED Brush Fire; INC#0846; 02:00PM; 2301 N Highland Av; http://bit.ly/2MMPOMm; Hollywood Hills; 64 FF in less than 30 min contained the Hollywood brush fire. LAFD held the fire to less than 1/2-acre of light-medium brush. Firefighters overcame water supply challenges, as they found some hydrants that were dry. LAFD Crew 3, an all volunteer wildland cadet post managed by LAFD firefighters, responded to assist with the overhaul of the brush-covered hill. No reported injuries. Update Cliff Rescue; INC#1165; 04:45PM; 4102 S Pacific Av; http://bit.ly/2yVp5Ek; San Pedro; The approximately 50 year-old woman is in grave condition with severe head trauma following her ~ 70 foot fall from the cliff top to the rocky Pacific Ocean shoreline below. She has been safely hoisted into an LAFD helicopter and is being provided in-flight medical care during direct transport to a nearby trauma center.
